We are looking for a skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Port Orchard, Washington. This role involves managing various accounting tasks in a hands-on, paper-heavy environment while working closely with a small team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, blue-collar setting.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
  • Oversee payroll for a small team, including bi-weekly and monthly schedules.
  • Prepare and file sales tax reports in compliance with regulations.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Generate and review financial reports to track billable items and invoicing.
  • Maintain a basic cash flow spreadsheet to monitor available funds.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle manual billing and invoicing processes using printed reports and calculations.
  • Adapt to a dynamic workplace environment and effectively manage priorities.

The salary range for this position is $85k to $105k. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan and 15 days of paid vacation & sick time, and 10 paid holidays per calendar year.

  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with manual accounting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Experience with payroll processing for small teams.
  • Ability to prepare and file sales tax reports accurately.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a paper-heavy, blue-collar environment.
