Light-Gauge Steel Truss Designer | Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) North Carolina

Overview : Our client is seeking a skilled Light-Gauge Steel Truss Designer  to join their growing team. This designer will play a critical role in producing accurate, code-compliant truss and framing designs for commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and proficient with design software used for light-gauge steel systems.  This role will be groomed for the design manager role

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and detail CFS trusses and framing systems for a variety of building types
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop efficient design solutions
• Use design software to generate accurate layouts and shop drawings
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers to ensure design intent and project requirements are met
• Optimize material usage while ensuring structural integrity and code compliance
• Revise designs based on customer feedback, engineering input, or field issues
• Coordinate with production and installation teams to resolve constructability issues

Qualifications :

Preferred : Bachelors degree,  Experience working with multifamily or commercial projects
