We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This part-time position is based in Dutton, Michigan, and involves working within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on managing accounts payable processes with accuracy and efficiency, requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency with data entry.

Responsibilities :

  • Print, organize, and distribute invoices to ensure timely processing.
  • Match invoices with packing slips and verify all details for consistency.
  • Entering invoices into accounting software program.
  • Process invoices tied to purchase orders for materials and ensure timely payment.
  • Perform general data entry tasks and assist with other clerical duties as needed.
  • Maintain well-organized accounts payable files to support audits and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address discrepancies and streamline workflows.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; accounting coursework is advantageous.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, with Job Boss experience being highly desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
