Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School-Based Speech Language Pathologist is needed to provide comprehensive therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a structured educational setting. This full-time, contract position involves working onsite Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, supporting a caseload adjusted based on experience.
Location : Hickory, North Carolina (with services provided in a K-12 school environment)
Qualifications and Experience :
- Valid and active North Carolina SLP license (mandatory)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working as a school-based Speech Language Pathologist preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in children across various grade levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
Responsibilities :
Conduct speech and language evaluations and individualized therapy plans for studentsMonitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state and school regulationsCollaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication needsParticipate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expertise to the teamEnsure all therapy services are delivered according to the school calendar for the contract school yearBenefits :
