Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A School-Based Speech Language Pathologist is needed to provide comprehensive therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a structured educational setting. This full-time, contract position involves working onsite Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, supporting a caseload adjusted based on experience.

Location : Hickory, North Carolina (with services provided in a K-12 school environment)

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid and active North Carolina SLP license (mandatory)
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Experience working as a school-based Speech Language Pathologist preferred
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in children across various grade levels
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and support staff

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and individualized therapy plans for students
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state and school regulations
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication needs
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expertise to the team
  • Ensure all therapy services are delivered according to the school calendar for the contract school year
