Responsibilities
We are seeking an API Developer Analyst to enhance our expanding Development / Business Analytics team by participating in all phases of our application and service release lifecycle, incorporating the DevOps methodology of communication, collaboration, and integration.
Development engineers and analysts are responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the production services, applications, and platform components that make up our internal and SaaS API gateway implementation. You will apply your technical skills in systems management, software development, and database management to provide best-practice guidance and support for API management technology.
An ideal candidate will utilize communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of best practices to enhance our development and analytical capabilities.
Collaborate with operations and software engineering teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.Automate application deployment for production and pre-release environments.Define monitoring requirements and implement automated incident resolution solutions.Design, implement, and manage continuous integration, build management, and deployment scripts and systems.Understand client requirements and communicate technical solutions effectively.Provide troubleshooting and support for production services.Troubleshoot issues efficiently to meet service level objectives.Identify process improvements within IT services and oversee their implementation.Ensure operational processes are carried out with attention to detail and timeliness.Document standard operating procedures and create system architecture diagrams.Monitor system capacity and health, providing analytics and forecasts for capacity planning.Additional Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field.Minimum of 5 years in the IT industry, preferably in integration.Experience with microservices, Open APIs, RESTful Web Services, and APIs.Knowledge of authentication and OAuth configurations.Experience with SOAP and REST-based web services.Experience writing OpenAPI specifications and onboarding APIs to developer portals.Knowledge of relational databases, schema design, stored procedures, and query optimization.Dependable transportation (business-related mileage reimbursed).Smartphone for communication.Forest River offers a stable, fast-paced work environment with a competitive wage and benefits package.
