Monitor and assess maternal and fetal wellbeing continuously, utilizing appropriate medical interventions when necessary. Support patients through natural childbirth, epidural anesthesia, or other birthing options, tailoring care to individual preferences. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, labor progression, and medical interventions. Collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and parents to ensure a smooth birthing experience. Administer medications and assist with procedures following hospital protocols. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or complications during labor and delivery. What You Bring : Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) or Obstetrics (OB) nursing experience in a hospital setting. Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred, demonstrating adaptability to different hospital environments. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure during high-stakes situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Education & Experience : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred but not required. Experience working in a Level I or Level II maternity unit is advantageous. Familiarity with various birthing options and labor management protocols. Additional Requirements : Must be willing to work at least one holiday during the assignment, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be limited to 5 days. Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from Monadnock Community Hospital; local travelers are not eligible for this assignment.
