Senior CNC Laser Cutting Specialist
Bring your advanced laser expertise to Glenn Metalcraft Inc., part of Elemet Group. In this senior-level role, you will translate customer prints into production-ready CNC laser programs, set up and run equipment with precision, and protect our reputation by catching issues before parts leave the floor.
A day in the life
- Kick off with job travelers and prints, then create or edit CNC laser programs from drawings.
- Perform complete machine setups solo, select the right tooling, and establish safe, efficient workstations.
- Run first-article parts and qualify them for inspection; document and communicate quality checks daily.
- Tune cutting conditions for new materials, troubleshoot cut quality, and make on-the-fly adjustments.
- Operate one or several laser machines as needed while keeping consistent, accurate production counts.
- Recall and input programs; read, write, and save setup sheets for repeatability.
- Support preventative maintenance and complete minor repairs and advanced adjustments.
- Follow lockout / tagout and promote a safety-first mindset across the production floor.
- Keep the area clean, organized, and compliant with procedures.
- Maintain positive, professional interactions with customers, clients, coworkers, and management.
What you’ll bring
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.At least 3 years of laser cutting experience (metals strongly preferred).Hands-on background running, troubleshooting, and programming laser machines.Skills and competencies
Comfort working safely in varying shop conditions; prior manufacturing exposure preferred.Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, Faro Arm, and CMM.Clear understanding of hoist safety; eligible to become forklift certified.Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.Knowledge sharing with peers and leaders; self-motivated and proactive.Competence selecting tooling, checking out tools through the tool crib system, and maintaining accurate counts.Physical requirements
Lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.Stand for up to 10 hours.Excellent hand–eye coordination, manual dexterity, and stamina.Confident with power tools; consistently wear required PPE.Comfort working in a production space with changing temperatures and humidity.Job details

The expected base pay range for this position is between $24 and $30 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
