The Category Administrator develops and implements a category management strategy for their portfolio. They streamline the contract review and approval process for supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities include project management, requirements gathering, contract analysis, template development, negotiations, implementation, compliance, and performance management. The role partners with Finance, Legal, and other departments to facilitate change and deliver results. It also involves maintaining a contract bid calendar and understanding Group Purchasing Organization agreements to maximize financial returns.
