GENERAL SUMMARY : \n\n
Performs interventional radiology and invasive cardiology procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician. Uses radiologic technology and techniques to assist in the diagnosis of patient medical problems for patients throughout the age continuum.

7. Competently operates all radiology equipment and support systems to include EMR, Scheduling System and PACS.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
\n\n
1. Maintains clinical competency as required for the unit including but not limited to age-specific competencies relative to patients growth and developmental needs, annual skill competency verification and mandatory education and competencies.
\n\n
2. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
\n\n
3. Knowledge of radiologic positioning, use of technical factors, and radiation safety practices
\n\n
4. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to radiography.
\n\n
5. Knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology related to interventional radiology and invasive cardiology procedures.
\n\n
6. Knowledge of techniques and supplies required for interventional procedures.
\n\n
7. Skill in operating radiologic equipment, image capture devices, PACS, and other related systems.
\n\n
8. Ability to react appropriately and perform work effectively under stressful and emergent situations.
\n\n
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment related to changing patient conditions.
\n\n
10. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
\n\n

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
\n\n
Graduate from a school of radiologic technology with current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Valid Nebraska state medical radiographer license required.
\n\n

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS :
\n\n
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.
