Assistant Branch Manager

As an Assistant Manager, you will be able to use your supervisory experience to help motivate and lead a team of 3-6 employees to success in meeting service related goals. Each day you will use your strong knowledge of Federal and State regulations to assist in opening and closing the branch in accordance with operations and security policies.

Job Responsibilities
- Branch opening and closing procedures in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Coaches and develops employees to be able to cross-sell, employee sales knowledge, and sales performance.
- Assists Branch Manager with coaching and developing staff members, i.e. Personal Development Plans
- Team building of subordinates, including promoting a positive culture.
- Ensure employee satisfaction and positive team culture Recommend candidates for hire, termination, or discipline.
- Expertise in funding consumer loans, as well as reviews documentation for accuracy and completeness; assists members with completing documents; research and resolves related issues.
- Full knowledge of all operations in the branch, including but not limited to, audit, branch operations certifications, ATM fulfillment, vault and cash negotiable maintenance.
- Assists Branch Manager with the directing daily activities of the branch.
- Assists Branch Manager with direct supervision over branch personnel including :
- Determining personnel requirements of the branch and providing for the selection, placement, promotion or transfer of properly qualified personnel ensuring support of and compliance with equal employment programs and laws
- Reviewing progress of assignments, conducting performance appraisals and recommending salary adjustments, employee status change, etc.
- Developing higher levels of expertise in staff members by conducting Personal Development Plans and encouraging further education, participation in seminars and Credit Union training programs, and providing learning opportunities within the branch.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
High School diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.The position requires at least one year of experience in a leadership capacity at a financial institution as a Lead / Senior Level or with Supervisory experience within or in the banking industry.Preferred knowledge or experience in a Real Estate loan department, Consumer Lending, and general product knowledgePreferred Business Development experienceProven track record of increasing sales and profitability for assigned branch / department.Knowledge of Credit Union operations and audit experienceDemonstrated supervisory skills sufficient to manage a staff of three or more employees.Knowledge of Human Resource Laws and regulationsAbility to work independently and in teams to analyze business and personnel information and make sound decisions.Strong team-building and coaching skillsStrong interpersonal / analytical skillsWe Offer the Following Exceptional Benefits
