• Location : Wheeling, WV 26003 (West Virginia healthcare jobs)\n
• Facility Setting : Acute Care – 4th Floor Medical-Surgical Unit\n
• Assignment Length : 13-week travel RN contract (Start : 10 / 17 / 2025 – End : 1 / 16 / 2026)\n
• Shift : 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715), including weekends and holidays\n
• Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay : $1820-$1950\n
• Patient Ratio : 1 : 6-7\n
• EMR System : Allscripts - Sunrise\n
• Scrub Color : Navy blue top & bottom, navy scrub jackets (no hoodies)\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates awaiting West Virginia RN licensure)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience\n
• BLS (AHA) certification required\n
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required\n
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis highly preferred\n
• Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays\n
• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver's license with application\n
• All licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission\n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical and post-operative needs, including orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery cases\n
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care in the EMR\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including hospitalists, intensivists, CNAs, and support staff\n
• Float as needed to other medical-surgical or med / surg oncology units\n
• Participate in the care of patients requiring hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis\n
• Follow infection control protocols and assist with COVID-19 patient care as needed\n
