Warehouse Manager (Manufacturing / Distribution)
Groundworks is seeking a talented Warehouse Manager (Manufacturing / Distribution) to join our team in Olathe, KS. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for maintaining daily operations and setting priorities for the team. This role will lead several key roles within the warehouse to ensure the facility is operating according to all safety guidelines. The Warehouse Manager and their team will assist with the movement of all inbound and outbound materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping :
- Oversees all aspects of shipping procedures.
- Daily / Weekly planning of outbound shipments
- Produce warehouse shipments and associated warehouse picks.
- Review pick sheets prior to assignment to preserve bulk quantity packaging.
- Adjust the pick sheets as required to maintain packaging and / or facilitate more efficient picking process.
- Following final loading instructions, review paperwork, and make adjustments as needed prior to posting to the ERP system.
- Customer Service assist branch warehouse managers and the Supply Chain Team with questions regarding shipments received and / or scheduling.
Receiving :
Scheduling of inbound material shipmentsOversees all aspects of receiving procedures.Overall coordination of placement of various raw materials, finished goods, packing materials throughout the facility. Includes racking, floor, and outdoor storage areas, with consideration of weights, cubage, and expected item turnover rates.Paperwork accuracy matched to product received and post to the ERP system.Ensure that items are properly marked.Manages put-away, ensures the process is followed in a timely manner and that the ERP system is updated accordingly.Research any discrepancies to maintain ERP inventory credibility.Production :
Understanding of production cycle and lead timesAssist the procurement team in coordination materials needed to meet production lead times.Warehouse Logistics :
Oversees all material movements throughout the facility.Review monthly sales data to assist both production and procurement teams with parts and supplies needed to fulfill orders.Assist with training of staff members.Understanding of various forklift operation & proper usagePerforms other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma and 10 years of relative experience in fieldForklift experience and certificationMicrosoft Excel and Business Central (ERP) experience preferred.Working Conditions
