Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for Speech-Language Professionals to provide essential therapy services within a K-12 educational setting in Irmo, SC. This full-time contract position spans the normal school year, offering a chance to contribute to the development and success of students ranging from kindergarten through 4th grade. The role is ideal for clinicians holding SLP or SLPA credentials with experience in pediatrics, schools, or healthcare.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments and develop appropriate therapy goals.
- Plan and lead Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students with a variety of needs, from typical articulation and language challenges to moderate / significant special education support.
- Manage caseloads across multiple school sites (itinerant services).
- Document progress and maintain communication with educators and families.
- Participate in essential travel between schools; travel time is compensated and mileage reimbursement inquiries are welcomed.
Qualifications :
Must hold current licensure in South Carolina.Possession of a valid South Carolina Educator Certificate specific to speech-language pathology or speech-language pathology assistant.Credentials aligned with one or more of the following : SLP - CCC, SLP - Healthcare, SLP - Pediatrics, SLP - Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), SLP - School, SLPA - School, or SLPA - Healthcare.Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings is highly valued.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families.Location : Irmo, South Carolina
Schedule and Caseload :
37.5 hours per week throughout the normal school year.Caseload serves students from kindergarten through 4th grade across multiple schools.This position offers an impactful chance to support student communication development through specialized therapy and collaborative educational teamwork.
