About The Position

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive primary and internal medicine care in a one-stop outpatient settingIndependently manage patient assessments, including checking blood pressure, weight, temperature, and obtaining vitalsPerform EKGs and interpret results as neededOrder and review lab work (blood work outsourced; create lab orders)Conduct urine analysisPrescribe medications, manage prescription refills (including controlled substances), and oversee prescription managementReview medical records and lab resultsUtilize Prognocis EHR and related software for patient documentation and communicationApply knowledge of medical office procedures, billing practices, and healthcare regulationsMultitask efficiently and provide leadership within a resource-limited environmentCollaborate with a physician as neededAdditional Information
Valid Texas medical license and DEA certificate requiredMinimum 3-5 years of experience in family medicine or primary care settingsBoard certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine requiredProficiency with EHR (Prognocis) and healthcare billing codes expectedOccasional evening hours may be necessary based on practice needsNo medical assistant support onsite; independence with clinical procedures is essentialBenefits
