Job Details

  • Emergency Department RN position at Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, Inc.
  • Facility includes 355 beds with specialized centers : Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU.
  • 32 bed Emergency Department, 29 bed inpatient rehab, 15 bed surgical suite & imaging.
  • Frye South Campus includes an 81 bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital.
  • Position is for Emergency Services specialty.
  • Role requires good patient experience skills, critical care thinking, stamina for fast paced environment.
  • Preferred experience with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma.
  • Common diagnoses and treatments cover a wide range.
  • Patient population from birth to death.

    • Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience.
  • Required certifications : ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS.
  • Must have RN education.
  • Float requirements include assisting in areas where competencies exist.

    • Schedule Information

  • Night shift.
  • 36 weekly guaranteed hours.
  • Weekend hours rotate every other weekend.
  • Call requirements vary depending on census.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Emergency Department with 32 beds.
  • Trauma level not designated but receives all traumas.
  • Patient population from birth to death.
  • Fast paced environment requiring critical care skills.
  • Equipment includes critical care equipment.
  • EHR system : Cerner.

    • Additional Details

  • CERNER electronic health record system is a requirement.
  • Unit has 32 beds with patient ratios of 1-4 or 1-5.
  • Equipment includes critical care equipment.
  • Dress code allows any scrub color; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are unacceptable.
