Security Officer - Commercial Site - Weekdays

As a Security Officer in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Your presence will provide reassurance to tenants and visitors, while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible throughout the property, and respond promptly to security-related needs. Pay Rate : $20.70 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Wed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual circumstances observed during patrols.
  • Communicate with property management and Allied Universal supervision regarding incidents, maintenance needs, or other concerns.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and contractors with directions and information while maintaining professionalism at all times.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet; prior experience is preferred.
  • Hold a valid CPR certification; this is preferred.
  • Have experience with alarm panels; this is preferred.
  • Possess a valid Guard Card or license; this is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
