Riceland Healthcare System is seeking a highly skilled Software Analyst with strong experience in ClinicalWorks (ECW) Electronic Medical Records (EMR). The Software Analyst will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing ECW workflows to enhance clinical and operational efficiency across our healthcare facilities. This role requires at least 5 years of hands-on experience with ECW EMR and a deep understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

System Support & Maintenance
Provide day-to-day support for ECW EMR, troubleshooting issues for providers, clinical staff, and administrative users.
Manage system configurations, updates, patches, and enhancements.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
Workflow Analysis & Optimization
Evaluate clinical and administrative workflows to recommend improvements using ECW features.
Customize templates, forms, and reports to support clinical documentation and operational needs.
Support implementation of new modules, features, and system integrations.
Training & User Support
Train physicians, nurses, and staff on ECW functionalities and best practices.
Develop user guides, training materials, and conduct ongoing refresher sessions.
Reporting & Data Management
Generate and customize reports to support clinical, financial, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Assist leadership with data analysis for performance improvement and decision-making.
Implementation & Integration
Collaborate with IT, clinical teams, and vendors to manage EMR upgrades and system integrations.
Participate in EMR-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience working with eClinicalWorks (ECW) EMR in a healthcare environment.

Strong knowledge of EMR configuration, clinical workflows, and healthcare compliance.

Experience in troubleshooting, reporting, and system optimization.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with both technical and clinical teams.

Preferred Attributes

Experience with healthcare data reporting (CMS, UDS, MIPS, etc.).

Knowledge of HL7 interfaces, EDI, or healthcare system integrations.

Strong project management and documentation skills.
