Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department at an acute care hospital and Level I trauma center Care for both adult and pediatric patient populations 56-bed ED with an average daily census of 175 patients Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Required to work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Cerner is used for electronic charting and experience is required Responsibilities include triage, emergency response, and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction Must be comfortable with isolation precautions and handling a broad range of acute cases Team-based environment within a Magnet-designated facility First-time travelers are accepted and orientation includes completion of required modules online Scrubs in any solid color are permitted Must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays if scheduled Locals are accepted with no radius restrictions Former permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before eligibility as a traveler Parking is provided at no cost with permit completion during orientation Requirements Active IL RN license in hand or proof of application in process Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA or Red Cross only) Combined adult and pediatric ED experience required Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and procedural sedation Ability to manage neurological, orthopedic, respiratory, pediatric, and psychiatric emergencies Cerner charting experience required Must provide SSN and DOB at time of consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623316.
