Position : Senior Field Service Transformer Technician
Location : Nationwide (Travel Required)
Schedule : Work 35 weeks per year (2 weeks on, 1 week off)

️ Role Overview
As a Senior Field Service Transformer Technician, you will be at the forefront of transformer maintenance and repair, working both independently and as part of a team to ensure the optimal performance of high-voltage substations. Your responsibilities will include :
Installing and servicing SDMyers' proprietary equipment : InsulMax®, DryMax®, and SampleSafe®
Performing transformer vacuum filling and oil sampling
Conducting electrical testing and diagnostics
Executing field repairs on energized and de-energized transformers
Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
Providing exceptional customer service and representing SDMyers with professionalism
Ensuring vehicle and equipment meet SDMyers' standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
2–5 years of experience in transformer field service or related maintenance roles
Class A CDL with a clean driving record
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Knowledge of electrical safety practices, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out and confined space protocols
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Work Environment & Conditions
Primarily outdoor settings, including industrial and chemical plants
Exposure to live electrical equipment in substations
Physical demands include extended periods of driving, standing, climbing, and lifting
Travel required, with overnight stays and occasional air travel
