Biology Technician

The Opportunity :

Intermediate level position; prepare and weigh samples for testing and analysis. May setup and conduct tests, assays, and other protocols under the direction of a laboratory services manager, researcher, or scientist. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs). Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, sterile, and in proper working order. May be responsible for calibration of instruments and also involved in media prep. AM shift. M-F / Benefits day one!

What we're looking for

Education : college degree in biology or biology related field or 2 years work experience as a lab technician.

Who you are :

• Prepare specimens for raw material stock through fixation, sub-culture, sectioning, mounting, sexing, etc. and labeling correctly, QC
• Maintenance of specimens being used for production - stocking, restocking, etc.
• Knowledge of plant or animal anatomy and physiology and sterile technique- to understand and be comfortable with what needs to prepare and how to prepare it - acquired through education and experience.
• to self and others- acquired through company training and experience.
• Knowledge of quality material- to determine if specimen meets quality standard- acquired through experience
• Good hand / eye coordination and manual dexterity- to be able to perform required fine dissections and sorting.
• Acquired through experience and repetition.

Pay Transparency :

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$37,500.00 - $62,400.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
