Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

As a key contributor on our team, you'll support the design and delivery of stormwater and drainage solutions for a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects alongside other Engineers & Project Managers by working on both bid-build and design-build efforts, and applying your technical expertise to :

  • Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Design roadway drainage systems, including culverts, closed systems, and erosion / sediment control
  • Stormwater design for projects including both bid-build and design-build projects
  • Conduct bridge hydraulic studies and stormwater modeling using tools such as OpenRoads Designer (ORD), HY-8, and HEC-RAS
  • Prepare technical reports and coordinate permitting with local and state agencies
  • Mentor other engineers and interns, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Role :

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in water resources or drainage engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and ArcGIS
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • MDOT, OpenRoads Designer Drainage & Utility and / or HEC-RAS, SRH-2D, SWMM knowledge / experience is a plus!
  • Compensation

    Compensation :

    The approximate compensation range for this position is $80k - $120k. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
