Work hours : Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Thursday, 7 : 30am – 5 : 00pm & Friday, 7 : 30am – 12 : 00pm
Travel : 25% to Alliance and Denton clinics as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided )

Here’s What You Need
LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required)Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)1 year LVN experience (preferred)ACLS or BCLS (required upon hire)Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and suppliesKnowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and proceduresAbility to effectively communicate to staff and patientsDemonstrate sound judgment and composureAbility to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situationsMaintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patientsPossess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalismEfficient time management skillsAdditional Skills
Schedule and manage patient appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures, surgeries, and follow-upsCoordinate referrals, pre-authorizations, and insurance verificationsEnsure all pre-surgical requirements are met, including labs, imaging, equipment, and medication arrangementsFacilitate tumor board case presentations and communicate outcomes to care teams and patientsSupport clinical research efforts through data tracking, patient enrollment, and coordinationEducate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, care plans, and available resourcesProvide emotional support and connect patients with psychosocial, financial, and community servicesServe as the central point of contact for patients, families, referring physicians, and care teamsCommunicate test results and care plans via phone or mail as directed by providersResolve patient concerns using problem-solving techniques and escalate issues when necessaryProvide interpretation services (ASL, verbal, written) and coordinate with credentialed interpretersMaintain communication with referring physicians and collaborate on care planningAct as liaison between patients, donors, families, and healthcare team membersCoordinate comprehensive care with financial coordinators, social workers, dietitians, and other specialistsProvide substantive feedback during multidisciplinary team discussionsContribute to staff education and serve as a resource for nurses and clinical staffProvide in-service training on international patient protocols and coordinate campus toursWhat You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the LVN ProcessTriage patient calls and communicates with the providerUtilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.Performs specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of cardiology.Collects patient data such as vital signs, notes how the patient looks and acts or responds to stimuli and reports this information accordingly.Prepares patient records and files using established medical record forms / automated systems and documentation practices.Administers certain prescribed medications and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.Performs other duties as assigned.Additional Perks Of Being a Texas Health Employee
