About The Position

Job Title : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Profession : Surgical Services

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 5x8-Hour (07 : 00 - 15 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 2 years required

License : BLS required

Certifications : NBSTSA certified as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) required

Must-Have :

COVID-19 vaccination required with exemptions allowed

Flu vaccination required with exemptions allowed

Description :

Candidates must be certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

Five to eight hour shifts from 07 : 00 to 15 : 30 with availability for weekends and holidays as needed by the unit.

On-call requirements based on unit needs.

Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.

If the candidate passes the clinical review and meets guidelines, they will be sent to the manager for the final decision.

Clinical screenings will be conducted on a case-by-case basis.

The manager will conduct interviews.

Experience in surgical rooms with a variety of procedures is necessary.

Ability to care for diverse patient populations, including COVID patients.

The facility maintains a tobacco and fragrance-free environment.

Candidates should notify prior to submission if they have any allergies or sensitivities.

Candidates may be required to work two out of three major holidays.

No time off will be permitted between Christmas and New Year’s.

Flexibility to float to other areas as needed.

Completion of required modules is necessary prior to starting.

EPIC electronic medical records experience preferred.

Travel candidates are welcome and first-time travelers are accepted.
