Position Summary :

The Machinist / CNC Setup Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform setups, offsets, and inspections to ensure quality and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or machining centers according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and setup sheets.
• Load tooling, adjust offsets, and verify programs to meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are produced within tolerance and meet quality standards.
• Perform basic program edits and troubleshoot machine or tooling issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
