Construction Engineer - US Citizens Only

Job Description

The role involves planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of new or expanded facilities. Responsibilities include preparing architectural, engineering, and cost estimates, functional studies, construction plans, specifications, and schedules. The candidate will obtain and supervise outside contractors, recommend architectural and engineering design procedures and standards, and supervise detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of projects. Conducting construction surveillance to ensure contractual adherence and providing engineering consulting services are also key duties.

The position manages construction of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems related to utility infrastructure, building, and waterfront projects. It involves contractor management, troubleshooting design or construction conflicts, safety assessments, quality control, and inspection. The role includes preparing startup and commissioning documents, investigating operational problems, and coordinating multiple projects with various stakeholders.

Qualifications include construction management experience, OSHA 10 / 30 certification, and knowledge of relevant codes such as National Building Codes, Plumbing, Mechanical, AISC, ACI, NEC, ASME, NFPA, AWS, and OSHA regulations. Heavy industrial facilities experience is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Science from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required. No specific years of experience are mandated.
