Pride Health is hiring for a Radiology Tech to support our clients medical facility based in Urbana, Illinois . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary :

Performs radiographic procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accrediting bodies, manufacturer guidelines, and departmental protocols. Collaborates with radiologists by reviewing cases when necessary and ensures exams meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review radiology orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assess patient history, labs, and clinical data to ensure correct exam performance.
  • Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast materials as appropriate; perform venipuncture or use existing IV lines.
  • Screen patients for pregnancy and conduct pregnancy testing when applicable.
  • Recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions to contrast materials.
  • Acquire high-quality radiographic images, ensuring proper positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
  • Transfer and verify image data in PACS; provide clinical history for radiologist interpretation.
  • Utilize web and email systems to send exams for after-hours preliminary readings.
  • Maintain imaging equipment, supplies, and workplace organization. Report equipment malfunctions and service needs promptly.
  • Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety; report safety incidents immediately.
  • Assist in training students and new staff; may perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or Imaging Coordinator when required.
  • Meet productivity benchmarks and assist other areas during downtime to maintain workflow.
  • Perform duties across multiple modalities as licensed and trained, complying with departmental and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Positive attitude with a willingness to assess and improve the work environment.
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate patient flow while managing various technical procedures independently.
  • Education & Certifications :

  • Associates Degree in a related field OR Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current Illinois Radiography License (IEMA).
  • ARRT Radiography Certification (R).
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
  • Additional Information :

  • Location : Urbana, Illinois
  • Job Type : 20 weeks- local contract or travel contract
  • Schedule : F riday, Saturday, Sunday | 7 : 00 AM 7 : 30 PM
  • Hours per Week : 36 | Hours per Day : 12
  • Pay Range / Salary Range : $2000 / wk to $2200 / wk
