Automation Lead Engineer

The Role / Job Overview : This role is a direct report to the Body Area Director. You will be responsible for partnering on the integration of equipment and other resources into the manufacturing process. The role will require a high level of independent thinking and discernment to solve manufacturing problems and optimize solutions. Your responsibility may involve training others and coordinating work with other small groups of employees.

Responsibilities

• A successful candidate has extensive knowledge and deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a broad knowledge of related areas / functions.
• Identifies and analyzes options before breaking them down into initiatives capable of implementation.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight or guidance.
• Acts as a resource to colleagues and plays an integral role in the leadership team of the Body Shop.
• Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal / external partners.
• Uses data and analysis to demonstrate the value of different projects or potential pitfalls of others.
• Often effects change in a broader functional area without direct exercise of authority.
• Must maintain regular contact with partners outside the work group and act as a liaison between manufacturing and other support groups.
• Scope and direct impact of this resource role may be redirected or fluctuate dependent on business conditions.
• Must be flexible and agile on work assignment dependent on project workload.
