Speech Language Pathologist • •SIGN-ON BONUS

Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy team at our two skilled nursing facilities in Vallejo, CA. The position will cover both our Springs Road and Heartwood Avenue locations. Springs Road is 5-star rated, and Heartwood is 3-star rated and on trend towards 5-star as well. Both facilities focus on excellent customer service, safety, and regulatory compliance.

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities. This position is in a skilled nursing setting, primarily working with geriatric patients.

Duties :

• Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge in daily practice
• Manage a diverse caseload of patients with varying needs
