About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 18 months previous experience in a large hospital setting with more than 300 beds.

License : Current nursing license required.

Certifications :

BLS

ACLS

CPI (preferred)

CCRN (preferred)

TNCC (preferred)

Must-Have :

• Epic EMR experience
• 2 years of telemetry experience
• IV start experience
• Conscious sedation experience
• Ventilator management experience

Description :

The position involves working in a general ICU setting.

Floating between units may be required.

The shift schedule is for 12-hour nights from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 2 or 1 : 1, depending on unit needs.

Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, traumatic brain injury, and multi-system organ failure.

Additional diagnoses include stroke, gastrointestinal bleeding, and complex vascular surgery.

Experience in critical care management is essential.

Required skills include care of ventilated patients and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Candidates should be proficient in central line care and management.

Management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction is expected.

Travelers may be required to float to other areas within the hospital.

Refusing to float may result in contract cancellation.

Preferred experience includes charge experience and Trauma Level I or II settings.

A minimum of one weekend shift every other weekend is required.

Additional requests for time off must be finalized before submission.
