Trade Specialist

As part of a cross functional team, the Trade Specialist will support all inbound and outbound shipment regulations, support Nidec Traction business units with the duty reduction procedures and qualification of origin for Free trade Agreements. Must be familiar with trade, customs and commerce laws of North America. Specialist will be responsible for prioritizing tasks, supporting expected cost reduction activities, managing day to day trade compliance activities and reporting costs. Open to remote candidates based in the US.

BUSINESS IMPACT

As a Trade Compliance professional, the Specialist will make a valuable contribution to Nidec Traction objectives applying both commercial and business acumen, demonstrated by :

• Significantly contributing to optimize duty impact for Nidec Traction by ensuring correct application of the qualification and classification for every product and component.
• Performing audits on import and export activity to ensure accuracy, including post entry adjustments, etc.
• Measuring the performance of trade activities; developing strategies to minimize risk to stakeholders.
• Minimizing duty impact.
• Providing advice and guidance on all trade compliance related issues.
