Geospatial Database Engineer - 1148

Overview

Summary : Dignitas is looking for a senior synthetic environments engineer who can span multiple disciplines and brings extensive M&S experience. The role requires handling technical, customer, business development, and leadership responsibilities, with a broad spectrum of applied cross-discipline expertise in M&S synthetic environments including :

• Knowledge of DoD simulation systems
• Image generators
• Database engineering
• GIS
• 3D modeling
• Run time database formats
• Geospatial and atmospheric data sources
• End-to-end database generation processes
• Database testing

Ideal candidates will be capable of leading end-to-end synthetic environment efforts, interfacing directly with customers and end users, designing geospatial processing pipelines, and be familiar with industry and DoD indicatives in synthetic environments. Candidates should be well-versed in DoD and geospatial standards and tool sets and have direct, applied experience with multiple DoD simulation systems.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities but could occasionally direct or provide guidance to some employees on the project.

This is a full-time position.

Travel is not required for this position. This can be subject to change with notice to the employee.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant degree.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master's degree in computer science or other relevant degree.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have the ability to obtain security clearance
