Description :

The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical.

This role requires caring for a Medical Surgical and Orthopedic patient population.

Telemetry is monitored in a centralized unit.

You will be part of a team with support from various interdisciplinary services such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy.

You will work in a unit with 35 beds and an average daily census of 30 patients.

Patient ratios will be maintained at 1 : 6.

The shift will last for 12 hours, operating during the daytime.

There will be opportunities for various support roles, including Patient Care Technicians and Transporters.

You will need to have recent experience in an Epic documentation system.

Travelers with 1 year of recent experience are accepted for this role.

The unit emphasizes patient care and collaborative healthcare delivery.

You will be expected to manage wounds, care for patients with total joint replacements, and adhere to isolation precautions when necessary.

Additional responsibilities may include coordination with a house discharge nurse that operates across departments.

This position may also require completing certain tasks onsite during the orientation phase.
