REN Seafoods is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Sanitation Worker!

The purpose of this job is to use USDA-approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas throughout the building.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

  • Use approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces.
  • Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout property.
  • Use cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
  • Wipe and dust surfaces in rooms.
  • Mop and clean floors, rugs, furniture, drapes and mirrors.
  • Stock bathroom supplies.
  • Empty trash containers.
  • Remove empty boxes from production floor and dispose of in designated area.
  • Notify maintenance if something is not working properly.
  • Report any potential issues to management.

Qualifications :

  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and read labels
  • Attention to detail Education and Experience :
  • High School diploma or GED Working Conditions & Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to :
  • Ability to work in a cold and wet food processing and manufacturing environment
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to pull, push, bend, and stoop throughout the shift The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
