About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient medical consultation services under supervision of a physician in our medical office.
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patient’s medical conditions.
- Conducting follow-up patient care.
- Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results.
- Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate.
- Answering emergency telephone calls on a rotating schedule.
- Administer and order drugs for patients.
- Complete all notes / tasks in patient’s EMR account indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
- Perform patient physicals.
- Providing health education to patients and families.
- Supervising / coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.
Qualifications : Required Skills
Minimum 1-year clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Urgent CareMaster's in Nursing or Master's in Physician AssistantCurrent Licensed as Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant in GeorgiaCurrent board certification by AANP / ANCC (NPs) or NCCPA (PAs)Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.Preferred Skills
