Requirements :
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Active Florida 620 Adjuster License required.
5-10 years of experience in claims handling, with a focus on commercial auto, trucking, and general liability.
Familiarity with claims platforms (e.g., Origami) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities :
Initiate timely contact with involved parties following claim notification.
Conduct thorough coverage analysis and communicate findings clearly.
Investigate claims by gathering statements, reviewing documentation, and consulting with relevant experts.
Evaluate liability and damages; establish and maintain accurate reserves.
Negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, or legal representatives.
Manage litigation when applicable, including strategy development and cost control.
Participate in legal proceedings such as mediations, EUOs, and trials as needed.
Maintain compliance with internal best practices and regulatory standards.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Support special projects and catastrophe response efforts, including on-call rotations and overtime during high-volume periods.

Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Work Environment :
In-office role based in Tampa, Florida.
Some overnight travel may be required.
