Job Title : Tool and Die Machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and surface grinders.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Maintain tolerances and finishes as specified in engineering drawings.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines including mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for optimal machining efficiency.
• Create and interpret 2D / 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering to design and build prototypes for new products.
• Rapidly fabricate and test prototype parts to support R&D and product development.
• Provide feedback on design modifications to improve manufacturability and function.
• Contribute to the conceptual foundations of the design and development of equipment and tools.
• Interact with professionals in electronics, electro-mechanics, machine-shop, automation and integration.
• Recommend changes to tools, equipment, processes, and programs to improve efficiency and production techniques.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, installation, and hydraulic systems, components, and equipment.
• Ensure test tools and equipment comply with standardized operations procedures.

Work Environment

You will work in a GMP and cleanroom environment, with climate control to ensure comfort. PPE will be provided by the company. The position operates on a third shift, Tuesday through Saturday, from 11pm to 7am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00 / hr.
