Security Officer - Access Control Logistics

As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a strong and professional presence. You will conduct regular patrols, interact with team members, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting a caring culture. Your role is key to fostering a secure environment, upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity, and contributing to a seamless operation through teamwork and innovative solutions.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Wed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Sat 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM

Sun 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, documenting all access-related incidents as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed to the appropriate parties.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and observe for any unusual activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for all personnel, visitors, and vendors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
