Overview

Arquus is a leading defense company in land mobility solutions. In its local locations, Arquus designs, manufactures and supports a range of light armoured vehicles. Arquus has nearly 25,000 vehicles in service with the French Army and participates in the production of the Griffon and Jaguar as part of the Scorpion program while managing logistics through its Hub Arquus platform.

The opportunity is with Service Market Logistics (SML), an organization within Volvo Group Truck Operations (GTO). SML designs, manages, and optimizes the aftermarket parts supply chain for all Volvo Group brands in North America, including Mack, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta, and several Volvo Bus brands. The scope includes transport to warehouses, inventory management, packaging management, and dealer order fulfillment. SML aims to deliver logistics services with Lean thinking and Quality at Source.

We operate the Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS and regional centers across North America. The Byhalia CDC is a 1.2 million square foot facility located about 25 miles southeast of Memphis, TN. We operate in two shifts with approximately 600 union employees. Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Inventory First Line Manager for our Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS. The Inventory FLM reports to the Ops Support Manager and leads, coordinates, and continuously improves the CDC's inventory control processes to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across inbound, outbound, and storage functions.

Main activities and responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of inventory analysts and auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance in all inventory transactions.
• Drive performance through KPIs such as Inventory Accuracy, Cycle Count Compliance, Stock Adjustment Trends, and Root Cause Resolution Rate.
• Lead and facilitate root cause analysis (A3, 7-step, or kaizen) to address inventory variances, process errors, and systemic issues.
• Support implementation of Lean and Quality at Source principles within the inventory management process.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, and engineering teams to resolve systemic issues impacting material accuracy.
• Oversee and standardize processes for stock adjustments, tag reversals, cycle counts, and blocked stock management.
• Manage and report on inventory accuracy metrics, driving improvement through corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure timely completion and validation of daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliation processes.
• Conduct process confirmations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure sustainability of standard work and compliance with operational procedures.
• Provide clear communication across shifts and teams to align goals, priorities, and improvement actions.
• Train and develop team members in problem-solving methodology, WMS3 & SAP transaction accuracy, and process discipline.
• Temporarily support alternate shifts or weekend operations when required.

The base pay for this position is $83,500 - $103,100 annually, with potential bonuses. Salary is determined by location, knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience, and aligns with pay equity and internal equity considerations.
