We are actively searching for Senior System Administrator 3 , located in Maryland , to support our team. We have varying levels of this position, depending on years of experience and education.
Essential Job Duties
- Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
- Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
- Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
- Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
- Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot systems and servers.
- Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures.
- Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.
- Manage system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
- Monitor and maintain system and server configurations.
- Perform repairs on faulty system and server hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware / software interface and interoperability problems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 15 years' experience as a System Administrator, OR High school diploma and 20 years' experience as a System AdministratorExperience with Windows Sever Administration, Active Directory, and Group PolicyFamiliarity with Linux Server AdministrationFamiliarity with Broadcom VMware / ESXi, Broadcom VMWare Virtual Networking, and Broadcom VMware vCenterNetworking Switching and Router ManagementStorage Management (NetApp)Hardware and Operating System troubleshootingSystem hardeningSecurity Compliance Scanning (Nessus, ACAS)Understanding of project design within the scope of security (RMF) requirementsActive DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ )Ability to demonstrate cyber / IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.Desired Qualifications

The pay range for this role is :
185,000 - 215,000 USD per year(PTC - MD)
