Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist with neuro experience and a current LA license for a clinic serving adolescents through geriatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
  • Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients
  • Average caseload is 10 visits per day
  • Experience with neuro patients required
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • Work schedule is Monday to Thursday 8 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm and Friday 8 : 00 am - 12 : 00 pm, with some flexibility
  • Physical therapists may be assigned to an Emergency Team during hurricane events and should be prepared to stay at the facility or provide relief support as needed
  • Candidates with previous permanent employment or in-house agency experience at this health system must have a 1-year separation before being eligible for travel assignments
  • Module completion is required during orientation and will be compensated
  • Orientation is held five days a week
  • Clinic does not accept local travelers; candidates must meet the minimum distance requirement
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and implementation focused on neurological and general outpatient cases

    • Requirements

  • Current BLS certification required
  • Valid LA state PT license or Compact privilege required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient PT experience required
  • Experience with neuro patients required
  • All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Must live at least 65 miles from the facility
  • Must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of assignment acceptance if license is pending
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
