The firm handles family law matters such as divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, estate planning, and related issues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft legal documents for filing with appropriate entities and relevant correspondence
- Draft pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders
- Correspond with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding cases
- Interview witnesses and prepare witnesses to testify
- Ensure the accuracy of all documents
- Appear in court on cases assigned and handle all aspects of those cases
- Perform administrative duties as necessary (filing, mailing, organizing files and pleadings)
- Conduct legal research for particular issues
Qualifications
J.D.Kansas license requiredFamily law experience is preferred but not requiredSenior Associate positions available for attorneys with five years or more of litigation experienceCompensation and Benefits
