As dedicated college advisors, we recommend potential colleges fitting clients' factors and budget, as well as assist in identifying a career path that aligns with their abilities and interests. We support them in the steps necessary to achieve those goals in the most cost-effective manner possible.
We are seeking college planners at our Class 101-Lexington office-someone who will work collaboratively with a team to provide direct college planning to students through individual meetings. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dedicated to the needs of his or her clients, and willing to learn and execute a proven system for delivering college planning. Comprehensive training is made available to ensure that services are delivered effectively and consistently.
Job Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To :
- Delivering effective meetings with students to educate and empower them on how to navigate the college process using the Class 101 curriculum
- Encouraging, motivating, and keeping students on track as they progress through the college admissions process
- Increasing client base through delivery of sales presentations to potential students and families. Meeting and maintaining monthly and quarterly goals.
- Serving as an instructor for group prep classes, delivered using Class 101's curriculum
- Gaining expertise in all Class 101 curricula and our approach to helping students and families including :
- Identifying student goals for college and career
- Understanding family college budget requirements
- Counseling students and families to identify resources for scholarships and financial aid
- Providing expertise for developing college lists
- Providing regular meeting summaries
- Serving as a reliable, knowledge source for students and families
- Maintaining and growing knowledge of colleges most reviewed by students in your area
- Meeting deadlines for submitting applications
- Developing and interpreting summary reports on students' progress on standardized tests
- Guiding students through the essay writing process to create and refine main, supplemental, honors, and scholarship essays
