Stebelton Snider LPA, a growing, full service law firm operating for over 40 years in Lancaster, Ohio, seeks an Associate Attorney to join our flourishing transactional group. Practice areas will include estate planning, Medicaid planning, probate, real estate, elder law, and business areas.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with clients in person and via mail, email, and by phone to commence engagement, keep matters moving forward on a timely basis, and manage the relevant support staff to ensure services are in tune with the client's needs
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with financial advisors, insurance agents, and companies, accountants, and other members of the client's "team" when authorized Proactively anticipate and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Work closely with support staff to delegate tasks, draft documents, and maintain sufficient client contact
  • Monitor work in progress to ensure quality and timeliness of product
  • Make recommendations to improve processes that will increase service quality and efficiency for staff and clients
  • Participate in firm marketing activities, including public speaking engagements, leading CLE seminars, networking events, and other activities
  • Attend CLEs as necessary to maintain competence and any credentialing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • J.D. Degree. Additional licensure or education, such as LLM, MBA, or CPA is a plus
  • Admission to the Ohio Bar and in good standing
  • 3-5 years' experience in estate planning, Medicaid planning, probate, real estate, elder law, and / or business areas
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
  • Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with relevant firm software programs such as Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and case management systems
  • Uncanny ability to anticipate both the client's and firm's needs
  • Licensed title agent preferred
  • This is a full-time, in-office position Monday-Friday at our Lancaster's Historic District office. Stebelton Snider offers a competitive salary and benefits package, generous PTO, flexibility, and firm-sponsored socials. Offer of employment contingent upon a background check.
