The Sales Engineering Group is the technical lifeblood of the sales organization. Our engineers bring to life the innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. The Sales Engineering groups have the technology and design responsibility for all sales support engagements within the region.

Job Description

The Sr. Presales Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the technical solution in the Preales phase of large and complex projects. As an architect of our proposals, this responsibility involves development, design, evaluation, and modification of system solutions and architecture to meet customer requirements. In addition, this engineer has to be knowledgeable about all stages of the project implementation - starting from scope definition until the final close-out.

The incumbent must be capable of :

• Defining directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation of a quality technical solution
• Providing engineering services to our Customers as a trusted advisor
• Hosting system-level technical presentations for internal / external customers
• Preparing system bids, taking into account the customer's needs and the equipment available
• Operating with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer's delivery requirements

This position will be part of the Northeast Presales Engineering Team. You will be responsible for working closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer driven, world class, leading edge, end to end solutions that rise to the challenges of first responder, government (State & Local) agencies. The team concentrates on the following mission-critical communications technologies at various levels of complexity : Public Safety grade mobile / portable voice and data networks, Advanced Mobile devices, Public Safety mobile broadband networks and devices (LTE), Integrated Command and Control : 9-1-1 Dispatch Consoles, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)Intelligence Led Public Safety : Real time video and data analytics.
