Virtual Desktop Engineer

Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, TEKsystems c / o Allegis Group, is seeking a Virtual Desktop Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization, ensuring optimization of desktops for platform interoperability, and acting as a liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies. The engineer will also provide endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks related to Virtual Desktop tasks, document operational integration of future technologies, and maintain advanced knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.

Required skills include experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMware administration, VMware Horizon VDI, BIG-IP F5 application delivery controller, and Citrix Netscalers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience and knowledge of Virtual Apps and Desktops provisioning, Gateway and Secure Access Appliances, and virtual disk profile management services.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00 / hr.
