What You'll Do :

  • Manage all aspects of patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) during the night shift (7 pm - 7 am).
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic procedures to guide patient care decisions.
  • Provide clear and concise communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding patient status and treatment plans.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and efficiently within the Epic electronic medical records system.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in critical care medicine and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Who You Are :

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in the state of New Mexico (only).
  • Board-certified in Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Surgery (ABS), American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), or American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
  • Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (required).
  • Current ACLS certification (required).
  • BLS certification (required).
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team environment.
