Overview

Southern Virginia University is seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join its in-house Marketing & Communications team. This full-time, on-site position plays a central role in advancing the University’s brand through the creation of engaging visual content for both digital and print collateral. Reporting to leadership within the Marketing & Communications Department, the designer will support the university’s strategic goals by producing high-quality marketing and branding materials, maintaining design standards, and ensuring visual consistency across all channels and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce a range of branded materials including apparel, brochures, postcards, social media graphics, digital ads, and other campaign visuals.
• Collaborate with team members and department partners to develop visual assets aligned with university goals and initiatives.
• Maintain and refine SVU’s brand assets in accordance with established visual guidelines, including digital asset management and distribution.
• Assist in the review, application, and approved use of university marks to ensure proper brand licensing and consistency.
• Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
