This role identifies the functional and high-level technical requirements necessary to implement new and enhanced system modifications required by business owners. Additionally, the individual acts as a liaison between the business / end users and IT systems development teams during the execution of development work cycles.
Essential Job Duties
In concert with the assigned Solution Architect act as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
Identify and analyze business needs, gather requirements, and define scope and objectives.
Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
Research business requirements and document the relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices).
Translate business requirements into application requirements.
Prepare communications and make presentations on system enhancements and / or alternatives.
Assume other duties as assigned.

Not responsible for supervising employees.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
High School Diploma / GED.
3+ years of related experience required; Still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills; Degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's Degree.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor / manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Essential Physical Demands / Work Environment
Work is primarily sedentary : must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
