Inventory Control Coordinator

Job Description

Primary / Specific Functions

• Prefer minimum 2-year degree in Inventory Control or equivalent work experience
• Ability to plan – determine priorities and effectively schedule work and to function in an organized manner that addresses critical issues and are supported by an effective plan
• Communicates and works with Production Manager to develop and maintain a level production schedule that will meet customer requirements, such as but not limited to, higher inventory turns, lead time and earned hours
• Continuously improving internal inventory processes based on the expectations of Lean manufacturing
• Analyzes production data and works with Managers to implement production changes to increase efficiencies and inventory levels.
• Collaborate on delivery dates and commitments to maintain and meet inventory requirements.
• Collaborate with others on the plant layout to enable smooth operational flow of material
• Provide support for part presentation to meet production requirements
• Review and adapt replenishment strategy of parts to suit business requirement and changes
• Assist with daily and year end paperwork for bar code labels and inventory counts.
• Observe and comply with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements associated with his / her job description
• Participate as requested in needs analysis and attend and perform the requirements of scheduled training and educational programs identified for his / her position
• Participate in independent objective auditing activity and support company continual improvement activities
• Creating a culture of open communication, trust, continuous improvement and performance
• Responsible for monitoring daily tracking of production and inventory levels, utilizing the Manufacturing Pro System.
