OBGYN Physician Job Details

Position : Locum Tenens OBGYN Physician (contract / travel healthcare job)

Location : Mount Clemens, MI 48043 (Detroit metro area, Michigan healthcare jobs)

Start Date : September 5, 2025

End Date : December 5, 2025

Assignment Length : 13 weeks, with potential for extension

Shift : 24-hour call (7am-7am), includes scheduled C-sections and sterilizations

Hours per Week : Approximately 36

Setting : Inpatient hospital, on-call OBGYN coverage

EMR : Cerner

Estimated Weekly Salary : $5,200 - $6,000

OBGYN Physician Qualifications

Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN)

Active Michigan Medical License and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required

DEA certification

BLS (AHA) certification

Minimum 1 year of recent OBGYN clinical experience

Proficient in all OBGYN procedures, including C-sections and sterilizations

Clean background for expedited credentialing

Local Michigan candidates preferred

Compliance with employee health requirements : Flu, COVID, TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TDAP

OBGYN Physician Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour on-call inpatient OBGYN coverage

Perform scheduled C-sections and sterilization procedures

Respond to inpatient emergencies and deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care

Accurately document patient encounters in Cerner EMR

Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Participate in orientation and adhere to all hospital protocols
